Join our vibrant team as a Volunteer Retail Assistant and gain hands-on experience in a busy retail environment while supporting The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.


As a volunteer, you’ll help with daily shop operations, assist customers, support stock management and help create a welcoming shopping environment. This is a great opportunity to develop customer service and retail skills while making a meaningful contribution to your local community.


Responsibilities



Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful assistance
Assist customers with their purchases and provide excellent customer service
Serve customers at the till and process payments (full training provided)
Sort, organise and replenish donated stock
Help create attractive displays and merchandise the shop floor
Accept donations and thank our generous supporters
Support promotional events and special campaigns
Help maintain a clean, tidy and safe shop environment
Work alongside shop staff and other volunteers as part of a friendly team

Qualifications



Friendly and approachable with good customer service skills
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Enthusiastic and willing to get involved
Reliable and punctual
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
An interest in retail is helpful but no previous retail experience is required

Full training and ongoing support will be provided, including training on the till and other shop procedures.
