Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimising transportation routes, ensuring efficient supply chain operations, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and internal teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise management, driving, and logistics skills within a dynamic environment. Duties

Develop and optimise transportation routes to ensure timely delivery of goods while minimising costsCoordinate with drivers, suppliers, and clients to schedule pickups and deliveries effectivelyMonitor real-time transport operations, making adjustments as necessary to address delays or issuesMaintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and related documentation using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and OutlookAnalyse logistical data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and service qualityCommunicate clearly with all stakeholders to provide updates and resolve any transport-related issues promptlyEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during all transportation activitiesManage supply chain processes, including inventory levels, order fulfilment, and delivery schedulesLead or support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics teamQualifications

Proven experience in management, logistics, or supply chain roles is desirableValid driving licence with a clean driving recordStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT systems relevant to logistics managementExcellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectivelyStrong communication skills in English, both written and verbalDemonstrated leadership qualities and customer service orientationComputer literacy with the ability to analyse data and generate reports accuratelyAbility to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentPrevious experience in transportation planning or related fields is advantageousThis role provides an excellent platform for career development within the logistics sector.
