The Opportunity



Join our 2027 (Autumn) Graduate Programme as a Graduate Transport Planner in our Leeds office, where you'll be part of a Case Making, Data and Modelling discipline.


As a Stantec Graduate Transport Planner, you'll develop your transport planning expertise within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary environment. Working alongside experienced professionals and fellow graduates, you'll contribute to a wide range of projects while gaining exposure to planning, civil engineering and project management disciplines.


Joining our growing Transport team, you'll support the delivery of projects for a diverse portfolio of public sector clients across the North of England and throughout the UK. The Role


You'll be part of a wider UK team that is located across various Stantec’s offices, which will give you the opportunity to work with a variety of people, projects and disciplines. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, including conducting research, analysing data and report writing. You will also use your skills in:



Policy reviews
Data analysis and visualisation
Business Case development
Transport modelling and appraisal
Developing options
Technical reporting
Supporting on project proposals

This role offers excellent exposure to all aspects of transport planning, helping you build the technical, analytical and communication skills needed for a successful career in the industry.


We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation such as becoming a Chartered Transport Planning Professional or Chartered Engineer.

About you


At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Geography / Transport / Engineering / Maths / Economics / Physics or a closely related discipline or possession of a relevant master’s degree and a keen interest in the Infrastructure sector, you will be:

Please note, we ask our graduates to come into the office 4 days per week, to ensure that you receive sufficient time with your team and receive the appropriate level of support.
