Commercial Finance Manager (Strategic Pricing) – PE Backed, Highly Acquisitive Firm JSS Financial Services is exclusively partnering with a high‑growth, PE‑backed global fund services firm that specialises in supporting alternative asset managers, including private equity, venture capital, real estate and hedge funds. The business is on an ambitious international growth trajectory, completing 3–4 acquisitions annually, and is looking to appoint an FP&A professional to join their expanding finance function.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly numerate, analytical finance professional to join a dynamic business in growth mode. The role will sit within the Group FP&A team and offer strong exposure to strategic finance, payroll analysis and client pricing – with the potential to get involved in M&A support activities as the function continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities Take ownership of global payroll data analysis – the business\'s single largest cost line – across multiple jurisdictions and acquired entities. Work closely with HR and Finance to consolidate and cleanse large, complex payroll data sets. Deliver insights into cost drivers, headcount trends, team structures and productivity metrics. Support the transition to a new global payroll provider, ensuring a smooth integration and handover. Develop dashboards and tools to monitor people‑related costs, identify inefficiencies and track performance against budget. Once payroll is streamlined, shift focus to the commercial/pricing side of FP&A. Analyse historical and current pricing models and revenue per client to identify opportunities for optimisation. Work with commercial and client‑facing teams to create improved pricing strategies and enhance profitability. Support development of pricing tools and frameworks that allow greater control and customisation across service lines and regions. Help shape how the business can charge more strategically in line with client needs, value delivered and market rates. Assist with due diligence, financial modelling and post‑deal integration of acquired businesses, especially relating to payroll and pricing metrics. Work cross‑functionally with M&A, Strategy and Finance teams to support acquisition pipeline activities. Candidate Profile Qualified Accountant – CIMA/ACA/ACCA with ideally around 5 years professional experience. Proven experience in financial analysis, FP&A, commercial finance or a data‑heavy role. Highly numerate, analytical and comfortable working with large, complex data sets. Intermediate to advanced Excel and strong systems/BI tool skills (Power BI, Tableau, SQL advantageous). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to distil insights and present clearly. A proactive and inquisitive mindset with a desire to grow with a fast‑moving, acquisitive business. Experience within financial services or professional services is preferred but not essential.
